Message from the owners of Côté Ci Côté La

October, 2018

Dear guest,

Thank you for choosing to stay at our villa. This villa is a story rooted in love, Love for this beautiful and simple island – Tobago. Love for taking quiet moments to enjoy the natural beauty and warmth of the air and the sea. Love for each other.

We were married in 2002 and bought a wild an overgrown piece of land as a gift to each other. It took 15-years to save and then build. Until then, we came every year to stand on the property covered in peas and sorrel plants – goats nibbing the weeds. Dreaming one day of building a villa.

Today, we are delighted to share our dream come true with you. May your stay be filled with beautiful memories, enjoy the birds drifting by, the ferry sightings, the sea, and the island. May love follow you home.

Thanks, Rhonda and Stuart.

The villa name

Côté Ci Côté La means many things in Trinidad dialect/patois – “so they say”; “this and that”; “that’s the talk”; “different sides of the same thing”. We chose this name because “côté” in the French, from which the expression is derived, also means “coast” – and what a coast this is!
